Been under tremendous pressure these past few days.
What's good (and BAD!) about it is that the pressure comes from only once source: ME!
Thankfully, I know for a fact that I am not the only one who's going through these times...
And I am not alone.
The photo above is what inspires me right now. I just came across it while I was dilly-dallying in Facebook (again!) and it touched something in me. So I used it as my desktop wallpaper. And I'm sharing it right now to everybody, hoping that it will also give you that push, little as it may be, to continue to strive and thrive in whatever journey you are in right now.
For me, it's a reminder that I should make the most out of every single day that I live. This doesn't mean that I have to pack my day with endless to-do lists that keep will keep me busy (but not necessarily productive). Life is not a race and I shouldn't run like a madwoman to race through all tasks everyday. I must have goals and my actions must be in line with those goals. This also doesn't mean that I should be lax all day and do nothing but smell the roses, or in my case our kalachuchi plant. It means choosing my things-to-do wisely.
What little chickie steps are you planning to take today?

This is such a beautiful post! And that chick is adorable! I gotta take some little steps and get myself back on a schedule...my sleeping schedule is off, which messes everything else up.
ReplyDeleteThank you Monica... So cute right? I love animals and this one struck me pretty big time. On my end, I need to discipline myself on social media distractions... I just realized that except for blogging, everything else is eating up much of my precious time... :)
DeleteThis is really inspiring.. thanks for the reminder Cham! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny! I'm glad you liked it... This is such a breath of fresh air since for the past few days/weeks/months I've become really really busy. And yet I don't feel productive... Guess I have to cut back on my time-wasters... One chickie step at a time... :)
DeleteOne day at a time is a sort of mantra around my house right now.
ReplyDeleteVery helpful, right? Just goes to show that when we're not overwhelmed by our day-to-day existence, we can have a lighter, fresher view of things which helps us do things more cheerfully :)
